Wheels Through the Years 2023

Thank you for your interest in joining us for the second classic vehicle show in Fairfield Rec, Burgess Hill on June 11^th.

Last year we had 190 vehicles and about 3000 visitors, with the good weather forecast we are hoping to at least equal that this year. There is a wide range of stalls booked in and a good showing of military vehicles. There are catering vans due to join us if you choose not to bring a picnic as well as local shops and The Woolpack or The Cricketers where you can buy drinks etc.

We are asking exhibitors to join us between 9.30-10.30 to park up, places will be allocated in the order in which you turn up, other than where you are part of a club that has signed up. We finish at 3.00 and ask that there are no cars moving across the field from 10.45-3.00, this is important for the safety of our visitors. If you have to leave unexpectedly please ask a marshal to walk you out. For those that cannot make this commitment we are reserving spaces near the main entrance in Royal George Road, just let the gate marshal know on your arrival.

Cars – All cars will be parked in the lower field which is accessed from Royal George Road, RH15 9TD. The marshals have been asked to help you off the main road into the holding area so as not to cause a problem to local traffic.

When you arrive tell the gate marshals that you have pre-booked and they will ensure that you are sent straight in. They will pass you on to the field team who will show you where to park.

Motorcycles, commercials, military and others – We are reserving the upper field for an expanded trade area and other vehicles. This is accessed through Downs Road RH15 8PB. The field team will meet you directly and help you park up. Please be aware that local residents are holding an event in Downs Road so we should not be blocking the road.

Club stands – if you are coming as part of a club we are happy for organisers to arrive a bit earlier to set up gazebos and flags to help members find them. Please let me know on arrival and I will direct you to your pitch.

Vans, trailers etc – If you are bringing a van or trailer with your vehicle please unload and then park the van/trailer by the Downs Road entrance. Please contact the marshals who will direct you to the parking area as it will depend on the movement of people/cars as to the best route.

Disabled access – The best option is to park in the upper field as the main exhibits will be better accessed from there, as the lower field has quite a slope.

Parking – There is no public parking planned on the site, although we can accommodate limited additional vehicles supporting exhibitors. We are asked not to park in Downs Road or Commercial Street as residents need access during the day. There is on-street parking in the area, there are no restricted parking zones.

Donations – As we do every year the profits of the show are donated to charity. This year we have nominated Bloodrunners, the Sussex charity that provides out of hours courier services for the NHS. Please use the donation buckets at the WCVC stand – lets show our appreciation to the volunteers riding round Sussex keeping the hospitals supplied.

Finally, whilst you are there please go to the WCVC stand and vote for the Best in Show Award. There is a trophy awarded for the best vehicle at the show – don’t forget to make your vote count.
